Nutrition Counselling Terms and Conditions

1. Scope of Services: Our nutrition counselling includes personalized meal planning, nutrition education, and ongoing support tailored to your health goals. Our aim is to guide you towards a healthier lifestyle through informed dietary choices.

2. Client Responsibilities:

You are expected to:

  • Follow the nutrition plan and advice provided during sessions.
  • Attend all scheduled appointments and participate actively.
  • Communicate openly about your dietary habits and challenges.
  • Maintain a respectful and cooperative demeanour during interactions with our nutritionist.
  • Diligently submit a food diary and adhere to the guidelines provided.

3. Nutritionist Commitments:

We commit to:

  • Provide evidence-based nutritional advice tailored to your needs.
  • Offer professional and respectful support throughout your journey.
  • Respect your privacy by keeping personal information confidential, unless required by law to disclose.

4. Respectful Communication Policy: 

Respectful communication is always required. Any form of verbal abuse or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in the termination of our services without refund.

5. Fees and Payment: 

Fees will be specified at the time of booking and are due at each session. We accept payments via EFT / Yoco on the day. No accounts will be run.

6. Confidentiality and Non-Transferability:

Confidential Information: All documents, materials, and information provided to the Client by the Nutritionist under this Agreement are confidential and constitute proprietary information and business secrets of the Nutritionist.

Non-Transferability: The Client agrees that such information is provided for their personal use only and may not be copied, transmitted, disclosed, or otherwise provided

to any third party without the prior written consent of the Nutritionist.

Non-Applicability: The guidance and recommendations provided by the Nutritionist are tailored specifically for the Client and are not applicable to any other individual. The Client agrees not to apply or to communicate this advice to another party in a manner that suggests it is suitable for use by anyone other than the Client.

Enforcement: Unauthorized disclosure or use of this information may give rise to legal action to secure damages against the infringing party.

7. Cancellation Policy: 

Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the appointment may incur a cancellation fee of R500.

8. Disclaimer: 

Our nutritionists are not medical doctors. The guidance provided is for informational purposes only and should not replace professional medical advice. Always consult with a healthcare provider before making significant changes to your diet or if you have health concerns.

9. Termination of Services: 

Services can be terminated by either party with written notice. In the event of termination, you will be liable for any fees incurred for services already rendered.

10. Jurisdiction and Governing Law: 

These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in this locale.

11. Compliance with Guidance: 

You agree to diligently follow the nutrition plan and guidance provided, including the submission of a food diary as requested. Failure to comply fully may impede your progress and the Nutritionist cannot be held responsible for any unsatisfactory results.

12. Indemnification Regarding Third-Party Products: 

The Client agrees to indemnify and hold the Nutritionist harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from the use of any third-party products recommended by the Nutritionist.

13. Agreement: 

By booking an appointment, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
